【PURPOSE & SCOPE】

We are proud to present the “ASPIRE Computer Vision Workshop at Tokyo,” hosted at Kuramae Hall (Institute of Science Tokyo) in partnership with the FunAI Lab (University of Technology Nuremberg (UTN)) and VISLAB (University of Amsterdam). The workshop focuses on the present and future of computer vision research.

This workshop brings together researchers from leading institutions in Japan, Germany, and the Netherlands to explore future directions in computer vision. By sharing diverse perspectives and research methodologies, we aim to foster interdisciplinary and cross-border dialogue. Our goal is to cultivate the seeds of innovative research and strengthen a global network of excellence.

This workshop is organized as part of the JST (Japan Science and Technology Agency) ASPIRE project, “Building Multimodal AI Foundation Models Under Limited Resources [Link].” This is a public event open to all interested participants.
While this event is hosted for the members of cvpaper.challenge and LIMIT.Lab, we extend a special welcome to all researchers and engineers interested in the field to join our discussion.

This workshop will be held in a hybrid format, and you can participate either in person or online (via zoom).
Due to venue capacity and building security requirements, prior registration is required for those who wish to attend in person. Please complete the registration form below if you plan to join us at the venue.　

【企画趣旨】

この度、ニュルンベルク工科大学 FunAI Lab / アムルテルダム大学 VISLABとの連携のもと、コンピュータビジョン研究の「現在」と「これから」を議論するワークショップ 「ASPIRE Computer Vision Workshop at Tokyo」 を、東京科学大学 大岡山キャンパスにて開催いたします。

本ワークショップでは、日本・ドイツ・オランダの研究機関に所属する研究者が一堂に会し、それぞれの研究視点やアプローチの違いを共有しながら、将来のコンピュータビジョン研究の方向性について議論と交流を深めます。分野や国境を越えた視点の交差を通じて、新たな研究の芽を育み、国際的な研究ネットワークを強化する場となることを目指しています。

なお、本ワークショップは、国立研究開発法人 科学技術振興機構（JST）の先端国際共同研究推進事業（ASPIRE）における研究課題 「限定資源下におけるマルチモーダルAI基盤モデル構築 [Link]」 の一環として実施いたします。一般公開のオープンイベントです。
cvpaper.challenge / LIMIT.Labメンバーおよびその関係者の皆さまはもちろん、広く研究者・技術者の皆さまのご参加を歓迎いたします。

ハイブリッド開催となりますので、現地・オンライン（zoom予定）どちらでもご参加可能です。
